Location: California | I've been surprised to find how few people were aware of the VACC's new "SAG TV" widget. The VACC built a neat little system into their website which (with the use of a small pusher program) takes a screenshot of what you are seeing on your screen and sends it to the SAG TV server.
The result? Pilots and controllers can broadcast what's going on from inside the cockpit with zero loss of FPS. It's even been known to work as a pretty nifty training aid at times too. Some of the fellas here have monitored my SAG TV feed flying my DHC-2 up the western coast for FSE.

If you want to set yourself up with SAG TV so we can watch your scope while you control or your cockpit while you fly, you need to first register for the website, and then download the SAG TV Screenpusher 1.3 from the downloads section. Once your VACC account is approved, you simply fire up the Screen Pusher, enter your new VACC ID and PWD credentials, and click the two upload buttons. The rest is automated, and it's quite cool! Location: California | Good deal! The beauty of it is that you don't need to be on VATSIM for it to work, it'll work online or offline. NOTE: When offline from VATSIM, people will need your direct SAG TV link to view your flight feed, as the SAG TV page only lists those online on VATSIM with SAG TV active. |
