Forums Issues Update |

There are many posts about the ongoing forums issues. I am aware of them and working with the hosting company to resolve them. The hosting provider's company was purchased by another company, and so our site was moved to a different set of servers in a different company in a different part of the world. That move required DNS updates, and file structure moves... these 2 things are at the root of a few of the issues.
Although the site itself is back online, anyone with a cached internet browser probably still cannot get to the home page of their "normal" URL.... if you used www.fseforums.com, then you can get to fseforums.com just fine... if you used fseforums.com, then you should be able to get to www.fseforums.com just fine. Clearing your browser's cache should resolve that issue.
Still unavailable are any file uploads to the server. This means that avatar updates and files uploaded to postings will not work. The file structure permissions allowing you to "write" to the directories where these uploads go is not yet set - all users have normal "read" access, so you will still be able to see previously-uploaded avatars and files.
Also... due to the server change, the "timezone" settings for most of us were re-set. You will need to adjust your local time in the control panel if you have not yet done so. For a little while, while the DNS records were populating across the internet, you might have posted at one location while someone else posted in another location (talking about the server's location)... this would have resulted in a posting which occurred AFTER someone else posted being "time stamped" with an earlier time, resulting in your post being placed BEFORE that post to which you were replying.
More to follow as I work with the new and old hosting providers to get us all fixed up.
